Self-care is all about you and taking care of you!  You should incorporate self-care habits into your daily routine so that you can be healthy and happy. Start your self-care journey with a few new daily habits to work on at one period of time.

It takes three weeks to create a habit and once you conquered a few and you feel confident about them, move on to a few more. You are worthy of the journey for you. Remember, if you feel better about yourself, you can improve how you help your loved ones too. You should talk to yourself like you’re someone you love with your whole heart and soul.

I’ve committed to a few daily self-care tools that make me smile about taking time for me. Some simple things that I am faithful about each day are: drinking enough water, reading, morning and night skincare routine and moving my body daily with walks or yoga. I am improving my sleeping habits, I use a facial peel twice a week and three to four times a week I use a Gua Sha Facial Tool from Willing Beauty Skincare.

What is Gua Sha?

Gua Sha has been around for hundreds of years. It is an ancient traditional Chinese medicine and Gua means ‘scrape’ and Sha means ‘petechiae’ (tiny, flat red, purple spots on your skin) in Chinese. A Gua Sha Facial Tool is a jade stone used to gently scrap your face. Gua Sha is a natural technique that improves the health and wellness of your skin. The practice of Qua Sha involves repeated strokes on the same area of your face. You repeat the strokes three to five times and then move to the next part of your face.

Benefits of a Gua Sha Facial Tool

Willing Beauty’s Qua Sha Facial Tool is crafted from natural, white jade which is a symbol of health and harmony. The use of this tool is grounding, calming and brings you peace and luck. Our Qua Sha Facial Tool massages your face and strengthens your skincare routine. It leaves your face lifted and radiant after each use.

The Gua Sha Facial Tool has many benefits including:

  • Stimulates your blood flow.
  • Drains your lymphatic system.
  • Releases tension.
  • Helps to clear congestion.
  • Clears your skin.
  • Helps your skincare products absorb better.
  • Reduces puffiness.
  • Promotes your collagen production.
  • Smooths your fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Smooths fascia.
  • Lifts and sculpts your facial muscles.

  3. Hold the Gua Sha stone almost parallel to your skin.
  4. Hold down your skin with your opposite hand, apply gentle strokes with light pressure 3-5 times in each area.
  5. Start by breathing deeply and warming up the outer areas of your neck with light up and down strokes
  6. Next, move along both sides of your jawline.
  7. Then, move to the center of your face and sweep your cheeks outward.

  3. Ensure to drink LOTS of water after your Gua Sha massage to help rid your face of toxins.
  4. You can USE the comb edge to lightly minimize forehead wrinkles.
  5. You can USE the pointed end for tension relief.
